Pension scheme
The company offers a contributory pension scheme to both full-time and part-time permanent employees. Membership of the scheme is offered upon the fulfillment of certain eligibility criteria.

Death-in-service benefits
Upon completion of a probationary period, employees are entitled to ‘death-in-service’ benefit. In the event that an employee passes away while in our active employment, a lump sum payment is made to the family or next of kin.

Educational assistance
The company provides a wide range of support in both financial and study leave terms, for those courses which are considered relevant or beneficial to your position or and agreed future position within the company.
- Tuition: Where financial support has been pre-approved, fees will be refunded to the employee by the company upon successful completion of each year’s course.
- Study/exam leave: For certain pre-approved courses, the company offers paid study and examination leave which varies according to the qualification being pursued. In the case of some qualifications, no study leave is granted but unpaid or accrued time off in addition to holiday leave may be granted.

Group specified illness cover plan
All permanent employees of within Ireland are entitled to subscribe to the Group Specified Illness Cover Plan with Irish Life. With this plan, should you suffer any one of a range of serious illnesses, you will receive a lump sum payment of either €25,000 or €50,000 (depending on the plan option selected) to aid you with any unforeseen medical or other expenses.

Employee events and communication
We actively encourage local and regional social activities and our social clubs organise roup activities throughout the year and each hotel also regularly organises social events for their individual properties. How do you hear about these activities? There are a number of ways in which we communicate with our employees including:
- Noticeboards - HR managers regularly post new information regarding the company’s policies and procedures, job vacancies, training opportunities and ad-hoc benefits on the employee noticeboard (normally located in the employee restaurant).
- JDNET - the JDNet is our company intranet which will give you access to all the information above as well as announcements on recent appointments, promotions, new property information and any upcoming events.
- The Scene - this is our in-house company magazine, produced on a quarterly basis. The Scene endeavours to be an enjoyable, informal, but informative read to keep everyone informed about what is happening in our company.
