Meet: Nick Cruise
Position: Breakfast Supervisor
Hotel: Great Russell Street
"The opportunities that are presented to you with Jurys Doyle are endless and I am certainly trying to make the most of them."
Nick has been an enthusiastic member of the food and beverage team at the Great Russell Street Hotel in London since September 2003. He previously held a position as head waiter in a hotel in his home town of Wakefield. Now he is the breakfast supervisor in Lutyens Restaurant in our Great Russell Street Hotel.
Since joining Jurys, Nick has enjoyed being involved in a number of activities such as training days and he has been voted employee of the month. "I'm now looking forward to attending many more training days as part of the Elev8 course," he says. Elev8 is a course put together specifically to meet the training needs of supervisors.
"I thoroughly enjoy my job and feel that Jurys is an excellent company to work for. The management really makes you feel part of a team and certainly makes you feel trusted as they give you a lot of responsibility. I can really see my future career being with Jurys Doyle Hotels and I hope that in the not too distant future, with the help of the courses, the training and my colleagues, I will be able to progress to management of the top-class restaurant at Great Russell Street."
